Lemon Ginger Immunity Elixir
This is a perfect immune boosting drink that is perfect for cold, allergy, and flu season. A shot of this is in the morning is the perfect wake-me-up drink, thanks to the sharp ginger and bright citrus. It’s strongest when fresh, but I find it keeps well in the fridge for 2 - 3 days.
Juice of 2 large lemons
Juice of 3 oranges/grapefruit
1 TB Honey (Local is best! Especially for managing seasonal allergies)
1 - 2 inch knob of ginger
1/2 Cup Water
1 ts Elderberry Syrup (per shot)
2 ts Apple Cider Vinegar
Put all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend on high for 1 min. Strain into a pitcher. Add in honey and elderberry syrup to pitcher and stir.
Additional add in’s —
2 tsp turmeric powder or 1 inch knob fresh turmeric and a pinch of black pepper
1 tsp cayenne
Crushed garlic
